OUR FACULTY
In order to prepare the students for a life well lived as informed, committed citizens holding conscientious and high moral values, Al-Beruni School system gave clamant priority to students’ academic excellence and upbringing and to reform the teaching and learning process to a new height. Besides our existing faculty members, who are not only qualified in contemporary education but have also graduated in the field of Kulia-Tu-Sharia and Dars-e-Nizami, Alhamdulillah, a number of high qualified and experienced professionals as subject specialists in the faculties of Sciences, Mathematics, English and Urdu are onboard. These subject specialists are not only well versed in their subjects but have also been pioneer in subject-specific methodologies. They possess immense hands-on experience for their subject specific sessions, subject-evaluation techniques and designing and assessing innovative formative assessments.
FACULTY OF SCIENCE
Keeping in view the high standard of teaching and learning in Chemistry, Physics and Science, a veteran and qualified Head of Department has been taken on. He has a master degree in chemistry and has taught chemistry for more than 20 years to O & A level students in the Maldives as well as in very reputable schools in Pakistan. He has a fairly strong grip on his subject and his teaching style is so enticing and impressive that students grasp the concepts of his subject instantly. He has also been a part in staff development programmes in a number of institutions, conducting refreshing courses and training workshops on sciences.
He has worked as an author for science books (O & A levels) with Educational Research and Development Centre (ERDC). He was also appreciated by Cambridge University Press for suggestions in explaining concepts in A Level Chemistry Course Book. He is also working with Oxford University Press, UK as a co-author of A level Chemistry Book for the syllabus of 2022.
FACULTY OF MATHEMATICS
Considering mathematics a key subject, the new management took step to recruit a well-qualified and seasoned Head of Department in the faculty of mathematics. He has acquired the degrees of MSC (Mathematics) and MCS from Karachi University and B.Ed. from the University of Sindh, has been imparting insight to O level students in reputable schools in Karachi such as Fortune School, Foundation Public School, KN Academy, Suffah Saviour School, BVS Parsi High School and Bahria Foundation College. His teaching experience reaches more than 20 years. He has attended a number of teacher training workshops conducted by Bahria Foundation College and British Council Karachi. His achievements include the preparation of Mathematics Syllabus for the UAE Naval College.
FACULTY OF ENGLISH
The significance of English language can not be denied for the benefits it can bring to its users. Keeping in view its advantages, an HOD of English is onboard to uplift the standard of English teaching and learning in the school. He has more than twenty years’ experience of teaching General English, CAIE O level English 1123 and IELTS training in various institutions in Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, UAE and the Maldives. Throughout his teaching career, he actively imparted insight to learners of English and organized staff development programmes; conducted numerous workshops and sessions in the educational institutions. In general, he has profound eagerness in learning and teaching the English language and in particular, his area of interest and expertise is the English Pronunciation Skill where he has insightful command over the English Phonemes, Diphthongs and the Organs of Articulation.
He has acquired MPhil (English Linguistics) from the University of Sindh, MA (TEFL) Master in Teaching English as a Foreign Language, PGD (TEFL) from Allama Iqbal Open University Pakistan and TKT (Teaching Knowledge Test) from British Council. In addition, he has attended many a workshop, teaching sessions at KSAALT, TRC and SPELT and conducted workshops at SPELT Conferences, Bahria College NORE-1 and at Cadet College Petaro.
In addition, he is the author of a novella ‘Tintinnabulation’, which is also a resource book for the students appearing in the English Language (1123) CAIE.
FACULTY OF URDU
Our national language has its own beauty and taste. In order to make our students accurate and glib users of Urdu and to enhance the standard of Urdu teaching and learning, an expert in Urdu language as the Head of Department has been brought on board. He acquired his MA Urdu and B.Ed degrees in 2008 and 2004 respectively from Karachi University. He has been associated with ERDC as a Project Manager Since 2000. In addition, he has rendered his services as a coordinator and chief coordinator in a number of reputable schools in Karachi.
His publications comprise ‘Mera Pakistan’, ‘Learn Urdu’, ‘Fehmul Quran’, ‘Mera Iqbal’, ‘Hamari Dilkash Dunya’ and ‘Mera Piyara Deen Islam’. He has received “Presidential Award” for the Best Children’s Literature in theyear 2002 as the author for his publication “Mera Iqbal”
